PROFOIL-WWW Update History

Version 1.1: Nov 1997 -

3/12/05 - PROFOIL-WWW is back. Thanks go to Jim Haliburton and his support staff for getting things fired up again and hosting the new site at www.profoil.org!
9/21/99 - Included a new design page for symmetrical airfoils. The previous design pages would not allow for the design of symmetrical airfoils because of the nonsymmetrical values of PHIS (which can be seen in the PROFOIL input file linked from the velocity/airfoil shape page)
10/27/98 - Added Martin Hepperle's airfoil analysis link to the FAQ.
8/12/98 - Added a four segment airfoil that used a higher angle of attack range for analysis.
11/14/97 - PROFOIL-WWW is up and working again with one four segment airfoil. More capability will be added later.

Version 1.0: Feb 1996 - May 1997

5/15/97 - Removed PROFOIL-WWW from the web due to difficulties with new server system.

3/21/97 - We upgraded the server and now the gifs in PROFOIL-WWW do not display. We are trying to find the problem.
9/27/96 - Added Ilan Kroo's Desktop Aeronautics www-link to the FAQ.
4/16/96 - Added in the six segment airfoil design page, and also the SD7037 template.
2/12/96 - Began writing user's guide for the Web: Changes, Capabilities and Background sections, etc.

Version 0.01: Fall 1995

Fall 1995 - First version of PROFOIL-WWW is available on the Web. Thanks go to Patrick Hancir for setting up the initial forms pages and the scripts to run the code on the UIUC Applied Aerodynamics server.
